The First International Conference on Knowledge Innovation & Knowledge Management (KIKM2017), in combination with The Nonaka Conference, on March 16-17, 2017.
Special speaker: Ikujiro Nonaka
Ikujiro Nonaka (野中郁次郎) is a Japanese organizational theorist and Professor Emeritus at the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy of the Hitotsubashi University, best known for his study of knowledge management. Prof. Nonaka has proposed the SECI (Socialization-Externalization-Combination-Internalization) model, to present the spiraling knowledge processes of interaction between explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge. In 2008, the Wall Street Journal listed him as one of the most influential persons on business thinking, and The Economist included him in its «Guide to Management Ideas and Gurus».

Special speaker: Eric von Hippel
Eric von Hippel is a professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management, specializing in the nature and economics of distributed and open innovation. He is best known for his work in developing the concept of user innovation – that end-users, rather than manufacturers, are responsible for a large amount of innovation. In order to describe this phenomenon, in 1986 he introduced the term lead user. Hippel’s work has applications in business strategy and free/open source software (FOSS), and he is one of the most highly cited social scientists writing on FOSS.
Prof. von Hippel is also the organizer of The International Open and User Innovation Conference (IOUIC). The 14th IOUIC was hold in Harvard Business School in 2016.

Special speaker: Jin Chen
Jin Chen (陈劲) is one of the most highly cited Chinese management theorist in the field of innovation studies. Currently he is the director of the Research Center for Technological Innovation, Tsinghua University. Prof. Chen is the editor-in-chief of International Journal of Innovation Studies and International Journal of Knowledge Management Studies, the associate editor-in-chief of Engineering Management Review (EI), International Journal of Technology Marketing and International Journal of Foresight and Innovation Policy. Besides, he is also on the editorial boards of the journals: International Journal of Technology Management (SSCI), Science: Journal of Zhejiang University (SCI), International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management, International Journal of Technological Learning, Innovation and Development, Journal of Chinese Economic and Business Studies, Frontier of Engineering Management.
