The University Network on Development Studies (UNDS) is organizing its first Summer School for Advanced Etudies on Development, this will be held from 14 to 18 March 2016 in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The Summer School on “Advanced studies on Development” (EEAD 2016) is organized in two main activities among five full work journeys. On the one hand, “student sessions” will focus on students’ oral presentations of current research projects -doctorate or magister level, which will be discussed by peer students and receive feedback from at least one expert senior researcher from EEAD. On the other hand, lectures on special topics of development will be conducted by invited expert researchers from Uruguay and foreign countries. In these lectures, we also invite interested public on development issues, with previous registration.

Who can apply
Postgraduate students and experts on different areas of development are invited to participate.
The maximum number of enrolled students in the school will be 20. The selection criterion will be based on high quality research projects evaluated by the academic committee of the Summer
Lectures will be given in Spanish and English, therefore, a minimal knowledge of these languages is required.
The registration can be made between 1 to 20 December 2015. The results of the evaluation of the nominations will be announced in early January 2016.
